COACH CERTIFICATION
The Kehler's Difference
Lots of places claim to have the best staff, but here is why we know ours really is the best! Kehler's Gymnastics Center has its own proprietary certification program that all of our coaches must complete before being allowed to call themselves Kehler's Gymnastics Coaches. No other program in the region has such a program. We literally wrote the book that coaches study to be certified.
Each instructor goes through an apprenticeship program that normally lasts several months, following already trained coaches and getting hands on training. We run special Training Clinics on such topics as Tumble Tykes, Basic Tumbling, Advanced Tumbling, Apparatus Spotting, Fulls and Twisting Skills, and more.
At the conclusion of their training each instructor must pass a 100 question written final test, based on our text book. Typically, a new instructor will have completed at least 150 hours of practical training and another 10 hours of clinic training before we certify them.
And then the training continues…, that's why Kehler's coaches are the BEST for your child.

First Aid, CPR,
and Concussion Awareness Certification
Each year we put our staff through a serious training program to prepare them for possible safety concerns, and to try to prevent them.
Here, one of Kehler's former gymnasts, who was also a coach at Kehler's for many years, and is now a certified paramedic, trains our employees so that they understand the concerns regarding concussions.
The instructor Steve Devenny has been our trainer for these clinics for many years.
